Position: Accountant This position is responsible for assisting Finance Manager in accounts/finance operations in Finance department. Reporting to: Finance Manager Duties and Main Responsibilities • To assist the Accounts/Financial Manager on day to day accounts/finance operations in the Accounts/Finance department. • To assist in handling the accounting functions, full set of accounts and related duties. • To prepare journal vouchers for month-end closing of accounts. • To prepare petty cash vouchers and petty cash reimbursement. • To prepare payment vouchers and making payment via cheques to suppliers, etc. • To do bank reconciliation monthly and highlight any unusual transactions (if any). • To perform data entry into the accounting software. • To help the Accounts/Financial Manager to handle statutory audit, month-end tax compliance, etc. • To perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Accounts/Finance Manager from time to time. • To assist in calculating, compiling, etc. for VAT, withholding tax, etc for monthly submission of the relevant forms to the Tax Department. • To do proper filing of documents in the Accounts/Finance department. • To liaise with other departments for performing work related tasks.
