Responsibilities and Duties: • Develop and implement proactive programs that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being for students within the National Program. • Oversee guidance and counseling services, addressing student needs in collaboration with teachers, parents, and external professionals where necessary. • Establish and maintain systems for identifying and supporting students with diverse needs, ensuring equitable access to resources and accommodations. • Lead the development of a school culture that upholds ZYIS's values of respect, integrity, and global-mindedness. • Implement conflict resolution and peer mediation programs to foster a safe and harmonious learning environment. • Manage disciplinary processes with a focus on restorative practices and student growth. • Empower students to take ownership of their learning journey by overseeing student leadership opportunities (e.g., student council, mentorship programs). • Facilitate programs that cultivate leadership skills, character development, and a sense of social responsibility aligned with ZYIS's vision. • Maintain strong communication channels with parents, keeping them informed about their child's progress, well-being, and school initiatives. • Work collaboratively with teachers to identify student needs and provide holistic support within the classroom and beyond. • Partner with external organizations and community resources to provide additional support services for students. • Provide additional operational and administrative support as needed to achieve ZYIS's strategic goals. • Assist with special projects and initiatives as directed. • Undertake other tasks as assigned to support the mission and goals of ZYIS. Qualifications and Skills: Education: • Master's degree or Bachelor's Degree in Education, School Counseling, Social Work, or a related field. • [Relevant certifications if applicable to your region/country] Experience: • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in student affairs, school counseling, or a related field within an educational setting. • Proven experience in program development, conflict resolution, and fostering a positive school climate. • Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds is highly valued. Skills: • Strong understanding of student development, psychology, and best practices in supporting student well-being. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills. • Leadership and organizational abilities to oversee student programs and supervise staff. • Ability to build trust and rapport with students, parents, and teachers. • Fluency in Khmer and English. Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is a significant advantage.
